Psychoanalytic CE’s distant learning courses seem to meet qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs as required by the Alaska Board of Examiners in Marriage & Family Therapists, as listed in 12 AAC 19.320.b.10(A).

The continuing education requirement depends on length of licensure.

  • AK MFTs who have been licensed for 18 months or more of the concluding license period have a requirement of 45 contact hours. A maximum of 22 credit hours may be earned via online/distance learning.
  • Those who have been licensed for at least 12 months but less than 18 months have a requirement of 30 contact hours. A maximum of 15 credit hours may be earned via online/distance learning.
  • Those have have been licensed less than 12 months have a requirement of 23 contact hours. A maximum of 11 credit hours may be earned via online/distance learning.

For all licensees, at least 2 credit hours must be in professional ethics.

For all licensees, no more than half of the total credit hours may be earned via distance learning.

Psychoanalytic CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1020) and National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC #5951). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.
